I try and go every year to visit my friend Rachel who has set up an animal shelter in Ajmer, Rajasthan. </p><p>This was my 2nd year and I was there just in time to enjoy the Tree Of Life&#8217;s 1st birthday. Pretty scary stuff but after my 2 weeks volunteering at the Tree of Life for Animals shelter I ventured north to Dehra Dun in the state of Uttaranchal. I went there to visit my friend Helen who was volunteering at a Christian Hospital.
